The Soldiers Table Unveiled
The third episode finished on a dramatic pause and presented the premier party of characters who will separate from the primary party to undertake their independent quest, distinct from the remaining groups.
The combat-focused team consists of the determined fighter (played by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).
The Reason for Division
Considering an extensive roster, it was clear from the start that having everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.
Hence, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three separate parties: Fighters, Strategists, and Seekers.
The Nature of the Soldiers Table
Per the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for participants who prefer a typically action-packed battle-oriented gameplay experience where non-violent answers are scarce.
Upon first impression, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might seem mismatched, but the events of episode 3 demonstrate why these five characters are best suited for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the party knows exactly where to go next after a violent first encounter with the enemy group.
An old friend of the deceased character—whose passing initiated the campaign’s events—exploited the enemy for his selfish purposes, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the character, and swiping all the magical artifacts to dispose of.
Casimir then cleared his debts and fled to a fortified location in the remote area, above the urban center, with Cyd hot on his heels.
Individual Reasons
Additionally, each member has a individual motive to leave the city the urban setting:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, wants retribution.
- Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and warns that it is a nasty environment.
- The strong character and The cleric, having defied his house’s orders to kill the target and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- Yet, their status as important members in the powerful family could assist the party reach places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Furthermore, The fighter pledged a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his salvation and will now follow him anywhere.
Fugitives
Finally, all of them are wanted by the authorities that govern the city for a multiple motives, making staying in the city too risky:
- Thimble and The character are known criminals.
- Tyranny and The cleric defied the influential house and the legion of demons they are aligned with.

This means them no alternative but to travel to Timmony in search of the traitor.
